Antonella è una regista pugliese che da anni percorre le coste della sua terra inseguendo storie.
Non è una turista, non è un'accademica: è una cacciatrice di memorie, che ha imparato a guardare sotto la superficie delle cose — sotto la sabbia, tra le pietre consumate dal vento — e a riconoscere che nessun luogo è davvero immobile.
Il film attraversa un viaggio lungo il mare, insieme letterale e interiore, lungo alcuni dei luoghi più stratificati della Puglia adriatica e ionica: Vieste e il Gargano, Siponto, le Isole Tremiti, Scalo di Furno, Porto Cesareo, Leuca.
In ogni tappa, Antonella incontra archeologi, studiosi e abitanti, entrando in contatto con storie che affiorano tra superficie e profondità . È attraverso questi incontri che il Mediterraneo prende forma: non come sfondo, ma come protagonista.

Antonella is a filmmaker from Puglia who has spent years moving along the coasts of her land, following stories. She is not a tourist, nor an academic: she is a seeker of memory, someone who has learned to look beneath the surface of things — under the sand, among stones worn by the wind — and to recognize that no place is ever truly still.
The film unfolds as a journey along the sea, both literal and inner, across some of the most layered places of the Adriatic and Ionian coasts of Puglia: Vieste and the Gargano, Siponto, the Tremiti Islands, Scalo di Furno, Porto Cesareo, Leuca.
At each stop, Antonella meets archaeologists, scholars, and local inhabitants, encountering stories that emerge between surface and depth. Through these encounters, the Mediterranean takes shape: not as a backdrop, but as a protagonist.
