Our Story

The Festival was born from the desire of Associazione Culturale Caorle Film to promote that niche of artists who create and produce their works without the support of a major production company and are rarely distributed in theaters: independent cinema. Choosing Caorle as the location was not random: its colorful historic center, squares, and sea offer a unique setting to experience cinema in a different way.

Growth

Year after year, the festival has attracted more and more international submissions and built important collaborations. Filmmakers from every continent chose CIFF as a showcase for their works, drawn by our curated selection and the unique atmosphere only Caorle can offer.

Today

Today, Caorle Film Festival is a well-established event in the Italian film landscape. With 75 works selected each year from all submissions, coming from more than 45 countries, the festival represents a unique moment of meeting and cultural exchange.
